Yesterday evening the PHP-Usergroup Hamburg went to the next round! This time the event was hosted by the Kartenmacherei in their new office.
After a first networking, the program started at 7 pm. The first part of the evening was filled by lightning talks. Participants were able to step in front of the crowd and talk about topics of their choice. One of these lightning talks covered the everyday work with mockups at an internet agency.
The main talk was held by Kruno Knego and focused on Machine Learning with PHP. Different algorithms and their PHP-implementations were presented. A chrome extension, which automatically realizes the language of a website, was served as an example.
In the following, Arne Blankerts and Sebastian Heuer presented their joint project Phive. Phive is a tool for verifying and installing phar archives.
Once again it was a very fun evening. Relaxed atmosphere with interesting lectures - thanks to the organizers, the speakers and the Kartenmacherei!
